Warranties on Eyeglasses

All eyeglass frames (except last chance & closeouts) are warrantied for 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturers defects. In order for your frame to be covered under warranty, all parts must be returned. DO NOT USE GLUE on your glasses for any reason. This will make your warranty null and void. We offer lifetime of free adjustments, screws, and cleanings. Feel free to call or stop by any time with any questions or concerns.

Crizal anti-reflective lenses are warrantied for 2 years from the date of purchase to be free from defects. This warranty also covers scratches that occur due to normal wear and tear. It does not cover loss, fractures, or penetrating damage.

Changes to your prescription are sometimes unavoidable. If your doctor changes your prescription within 30 days from your purchase, VIP EYES will offer a one-time courtesy replacement at no charge. If a second change is needed, we will remake the lenses at 50% off.

Cleaning & Care for Your Eyeglasses

To care for your glasses properly, always run them under water and dry them off with a soft cloth, i.e. face cloth, dish towel, or old clean t-shirt. NO paper towels, toilet paper, or tissues. They are all wood products and have wood fibers that will scratch your lenses. NO Windex, “eyeglass wipes” or chemicals of any kind. They will break down your lens material and cause them to peel and fracture. Use Dawn original dish soap if your lenses need a really good cleaning. Do NOT wipe lenses when dry; you will scratch the dust and dirt into your lens. The cloth that you use should not be laundered with any fabric softener, that will cause a film to build up on your lenses. Do not hesitate to stop in and we will clean your glasses for you free of charge.

Transitions Activation Instructions

If you purchase transition lenses, remember to activate them. You can do this by leaving them in DIRECT sunlight for 40 minutes (NOT on the dash of your car or behind a window), then bring them in and put them in a dark place for 20 minutes. This process will allow them to get as dark and as clear as possible. Keep in mind that your transitions will work before they activated, just not to their fullest potential.
